AMICAS Reach - Online Scheduling and Radiology Information System (RIS)
AMICAS Reach allows physicians who refer to Arcadia Radiology Medical Group to order exams for their patients through a secure online connection without the hassle of filling out a paper referral form or scheduling appointments over the phone. Once scheduled, physicians and their staff will be able to review their patient’s exam status and order follow-up exams as necessary.
When a patient’s exam is complete, the radiologist’s report will be automatically available to physicians via any web enabled device. An instant message will prompt physicians to simply log-in to AMICAS Reach to retrieve the imaging report. As a standard, a hard copy of the report will also be sent to the referring physician’s office unless otherwise requested.
AMICAS Reach does not require any software to be installed on the physician’s computer or hand-held device. An internet connection is all that’s needed.
PACS
The PACS (Picture Archival Communication System) used by Arcadia Radiology Medical Group is a filmless, computerized, medical imaging system that allows our radiologists to immediately view exam images and begin preparing a report for the referring provider. PACS technology provides the full series of exam images, a voice clip and a montage of selected images immediately available to physicians through the Web Ambassador program.
The voice clip, an initial interpretation recorded by the radiologist, saves time for the practitioner and expedites patient care by allowing a physician to listen to the radiology report at the same time he or she looks at the exam images. The montage of images selected by the radiologist, is a group of images that summarize the findings of the exam, often with arrows and annotations, and is the first image presented to the referring physician when the exam is accessed from the Web Ambassador.
