ACS Breast Cancer Statistics:
  • Mammography reduces breast cancer mortality in women ages 40-74
  • The chance of developing invasive breast cancer at some time in a woman's life is a little less than 1 in 8
  • The chance that breast cancer will be responsible for a woman's death is about 1 in 35

ARMG feels it is important for women to follow screening recommendations from the American Cancer Society (ACS) by scheduling a mammogram every year beginning at age 40.
